The Future of Incident Tracking at 1RISK

As we head into the summer of 2022, 1RISK is looking ahead to the next version of our Incident Tracking software.

As you may or may not know, Incident Tracking was the first piece of software that we came to market with 10 years ago. Its current version that we call IR 2.0, has been out for over 4 years now.

Our next version of Incident Tracking, deemed IR 3.0, will be a large shift in the core structure of the software and technology, for many reasons. As we continue to grow, requests for Incident Tracking to be much more flexible and open to any type of operation, including seasonality, continues to grow. Many operations currently use Incident Tracking for year-round data capture related to some type of Incident whether it is injury-related or not. Oftentimes data captured for a wintertime incident at a Ski Resort is much different than what you would capture for a summer operation or an indoor operation like a climbing gym, museum or indoor water park. The basics are the same, but many other data points are not.

IR 3.0 will be built on our new 1Forms technology that has been out for a few years now used in other aspects of our software. By moving to a totally “Forms” based approach, this provides almost 100% custom configuration for any operation, size, type, industry and environment. It will also include custom Notification Alerts for any data point configuration or grouping of data points. Factor in the Type of Incident, then we can require certain Forms to be completed or required prior to submission in the workflow.

Our software roadmap includes a version of IR 3.0 to be released in the Fall of 2023. Once this is released, we will continue to support IR 2.0 (Current version) for at least another year or so because we know learning and moving to a new technology is not always the easiest.
