OUR TEAM

Charlie Mickley is one of the founders and the owner of 1RISK.  Charlie has spent his career working in the tech and IT world.  He has worked for many companies in his almost 30 years of experience and served in many different rolls.  His experience has ranged from software developer, database admin and IT, working from the gov’t side to private industry.  In the years leading up to founding 1RISK he spent almost 10 years working for three ski resorts in Southern PA.

At 1RISK Charlie serves as Business Relationship Director; from overseeing the daily operations of 1RISK, Sales/Marketing and setting the over-all direction of the software and company.  Charlie also enjoys meeting with 1RISK clients whether it be via a phone call, in person, on site or at conferences and shows.

Working with Bill, the tech director of 1RISK, from the inception of the company has always been fun and rewarding.  Charlie and Bill had worked together in many other settings of employment in years past and rejoined forces to create what is now 1RISK.   The duo always seems to work well together and complement each other.   A new bonus for Charlie is working with his oldest son Cameron.  In reality, the 1RISK Team is a family, each member is valuable beyond measure and brings their own unique and special gifts to the table.

Charlie lives in Southern PA with his wife, two boys, 1 dog and 3 cats.  He enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and anything related to spending time outdoors and in the mountains.  He thoroughly enjoys exploring rocks, streams, trees, birds, and wildlife.  Anytime he can sit and drink some coffee with his wife or do things with his two boys is always rewarding. Remember, Zombieland Rule #32 - Tallahassee: Always enjoy the little things…..

Bill has been with 1RISK since the company started.  He has been developing IT solutions/software for almost 40 years and when not behind a computer, Bill enjoys fishing, kayaking and shotgun sports.

Mark joined the 1RISK team in early 2016 and is currently the Client Services Manager. His background is based around customer service, having started in the music instrument industry and then moving on to the tech industry. In his off time he is a guitarist and vocalist in a local rock band. He is also proud husband and father of two daughters, ages 4 and 2.

Cameron has been working full time with 1RISK since summer of 2020.  Since then he has worked on the 1RISK client services team and grown his skillset in order to best serve the industry.  In his spare time he enjoys fishing, being at the beach, playing guitar, pursuing fitness goals, and spending time with family and friends.  Despite working heavily with the ski industry,  the heat of summer is his favorite time of year.

Justin is the newest member of the Development Team and enjoys writing software to modernize the adventure sports industry.  Justin can wear many technical hats but especially enjoys designing and developing modern user interfaces. He studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, where he graduated in 2017. In addition to his technical background, Justin also brings on-the-ground industry experience to the team. He spends his free time outdoors working as a Whitewater Guide on the Shenandoah River in Harper’s Ferry, WV and is also an AASI-certified Snowboard Instructor.
